Access Statement

Green Farm is situated on the edge of a large village, 5 miles east of Worcester.

There are no street lights in the village.

The farm is approached up a country lane, Netherwood Lane, for 500m.

There are two entrances to Green Farm. The main entrance is down a gravel drive for 45m with parking for 4 cars to the left of the house.

There is a 2nd entrance through the farm yard. This is down a stone drive, through a 6’ farm gate that has to be opened, & then into a large spacious gravel farmyard. There is enough parking here for several cars, a large van, stock trailer etc.

Both car parking areas are well lit.

Access to the accommodation is along a level gravel walkway for 32m by the side of the main house,

& through a gateway (85cm wide) into a brick courtyard.

Assistance with luggage is available.

Access to the Cottage:

From the courtyard, access to the Cottage rooms is up a very small (5cm) step through the entrance door(85cm wide) into a small lobby for coats, boots etc. Straight through an internal door (75cm wide) leads into the sitting room with access off this into the breakfast room. The floor downstairs is level throughout. Access to the bedrooms is up a polished oak staircase with 4 steps, (each step 70cm wide x 19cm high), turn 90 degrees, up 3 more steps, the 90 degrees again & up the last 5 steps. The staircase & both floors are well lit.

Access to the Tallet:

From the courtyard, access to the Tallet rooms is through a narrow gateway (75cm wide) across the yard for 7m (slightly uneven ground here) & then up 12 brick steps (105cm wide x 19cm high) with a strong metal handrail & railings on the left. At the top of the steps is a small brick square (105cm sq) with the entrance door on the right. The entrance is up 1 more step (20cm high) through the door (105cm wide). The sitting area, bedroom & bathroom are level and carpeted throughout.

Due to Green Farm being a listed building we cannot offer our mobility-impaired guests total access to our accommodation as we would wish. However we will do our very best to advise on the suitability of our rooms. Service dogs are welcome.

Mobile phones work in the area although reception can be patchy. The owner’s landline is available for guests’ use.

Public transport in the village is poor but there are 2 buses a day to & from Worcester. Copies of the bus timetable are available in each room.
